weekend news AND the last phase: last the best...

So we moved on Saturday.

Many, many, many, many thanks to all those who helped. We seriously couldn't have done it without you guys. It went off without a hitch, for the most part. I will post pictures as soon as I'm able. We don't have the internet right now.... or t.v. for that matter... and I think I might just die. It might be good for me (so Dave claims) but a small/big part of my heart thinks he's lying. At least I can still watch movies. But oh to loose t.v. right when my shows are starting up again! (Yes, Gretchen, I'm addicted and it's official. Ummmm since we have no t.v., can we come watch it with you peps? I'll bring treats or something to entice! Pruddy please? Do I sound desperate? I'm not. Well maybe a little). No internet is hard too. Sigh.

Dave wants to do some crazy thing where you hook up your internet to your t.v. so you don't have to pay for cable, save like $50 a month and watch your shows from like Hulu or some such nonesense. Has anyone else ever done this? For the record, I'm against it.

Well folks, since no pictures of our new pad are currently available I will show you our last, glorious day of the trip.

Mount Vernon.

{I want lots and lots of gardens just like you.} This place was breathtaking. I loved every minute of it. I wished it weren't quite so hot but... beggars can't be choosers and all that.

If only I had a home and property like that... oh and about 250 slaves to maintain it like G.W.... ahem.

Dave was kind hot and tired. So when I made him pose for another pic showcasing the Washington's beautiful gardens he gave me this *great* face ;)

We have friends that do the internet/tv thing. It's definitely a downgrade but they live with it. Just tell Dave he won't be able to get his sports...that will make him not want to do it. :)
Glad you guys got moved in ok. Sorry again that we couldn't help. We're close now so let us know what you need...even if it's coming over to watch our tv. :)

Haha, Dave probably got the idea from Ryan! We do that. I don't mind it since there are no commercials. If there are- they are typically less than 30 seconds. So yeah- we haven't had any problems with it. BUT you have to watch your show within a couple of weeks of it airing. The quality is good. And it does save you from watching TV because you're bored ... but yeah- news and sports we don't really watch. Im glad youre finally all moved in!
