It seems that everyone in my family is posting pictures of our trip to Hawaii, so I am feeling a bit left out. So here are some of my favorites. Also, I wanted to showcase some of the cool pictures Kirsten took. She has quite the talent for photography!
The water fountain at the temple.
Kelty sitting by one of the fountains.
Teagan playing at a fountain.
Teagan is rather camera shy, but we snuck a few pictures of her.
So, Kirst went to New York last week with some friends to watch some plays and sightsee. Last Friday I called her, and texted her several times, begging and pleading that she would go to wall street. Why you ask?? Well, last Friday topped an historic week for America and the economy. We haven't seen a move like this in the stock market since the depression. Friday looked to be the bottom (lets hope!) and I wanted her to be able to say to our grandchildren that she was there! She was more interested in gelato, and seeing Hermione Granger...then being part of history!, so I begged and pleaded and guess what???.....
Ok, this has been a long time coming...but we got a puppy! Now I know there are some of you out there hoping that we would be bragging about a child instead of a puppy...but this cute face will have to do for now. We got her at the beginning of September, and quite truthfully, I am obsessed with her. Today I taught her to stand up, and lay down on command and was so proud. The best is when she runs after the cat. Now don't get me wrong, I really like our cat...but it's nice to see "Her Majesty" the all-gracious...get worked up and freaked out. Pretty good entertainment. In fact, here is a video of one of their fights.....
I figure people use blogs, in part, to tell the world about the good things in their life. My wife definitely tops the list of good things in my life. Despite all my wierd quirks, she has somehow managed to stay in love with me over the first few years of our marriage. So, in all humility I
I went to the doctors today to get rid of my year-long friend...Mr. Plantars Wart. He has been a trusted friend, staying by my side through thick and thin. He only reminded me of his loyal presence after serious physical activity, so he didn't bother me much. However, I have decided to cut back on things this summer...and well...he had to go. I get to the doctors office, pull off my sock and lo and behold...Mr. Plantars Wart had multiplied into three!!! Crazy, huh? Is that some kind of record or what? 3 Warts....frozen off. So while my foot is forming some fun blisters in loving memory of my friends, I'm looking forward to walking through life more light-footed.
Wow. I can't believe Dave is the one who really instigated getting a blog but here we are! We don't really know what to write and what to say on these things but we'll get the hang of it. Oh Dave just informed me that we have to write about something we did- an adventure. Hmmm.... welp nothing to share there. I was going to share a story about our Lola, our cat, but Dave said I couldn't. Well are you all bored now? This is why we didn't start a blog earlier...
Here's some pics of us just to amuse you while we find something cooler to write about. Dad, that might be my favorite pic of you ;D
