Cute 'lil nephew Jimmy. Yeah that was an apple from off the ground...
Hayls and I.
The finished product.
My sister Mylissa, who lives in Heber knows all the fun things to do there. She found out about this old orchard that used to be a pioneer farm but is now a public park up in the mountains. Back in the day these pioneers started the orchard and a farm and now they allow you to go up there and pick as many apples as you want. I've actually never picked apples before so I loved it. I felt very much like I was living in Anne of Green Gables :D. The activity was very fall-ish which made me sad... don't get me wrong, I like fall and all but I absolutely love summer. I actually think I just love NOT being cold all the time. But being up in the mountains and picking those sweet smelling apples made me excited for cider. So bring on the fall! (in like a month or so please).

Ahh! I'm so excited! That grove is Huber Grove, after Johann Huber who took his apple seeds from Switzerland, across the plains, and planted them in Midway. He is also my great great (some number of greats) grandfather! When you drive from Main Street towards the Homestead there is a grey Victorian house with a wooden statue of a guy holding an apple. That's my parents' house! I'm loving seeing all your Midway posts. We were up there like 3 weeks ago, I wished I had known you guys were around those parts.
April my dear friend, I wish I knew you were back in Utah! I miss you grung sista!
I think anything that makes you feel like Anne of Green Gables is a good thing. :) Yay for fall!
Ooh! I want to go and take Marc! :) Where is it, Kirst? And is it open all the time?
P.S. I love that you're keeping this updated. :)
Jazz- I'm pretty sure that it's open for the next little while. I'll check where it is exactly with my sister because I wasn't the one driving :D Get back to you about it soon.
I love all your pictures. You're becoming quite the photographer. I especially love your header picture. I want to steal it. Ü And I agree with Amy that anything that makes you feel like Anne with an E is a good thing.
You take such cute pictures!! Love em!
