"...some things don't matter much. Like the color of a house. How big is that in the overall scheme of life? But lifting a person's heart--now, that matters. The whole problem with people is...they know what matters, but they don't choose it...The hardest thing on earth is choosing what matters." — Sue Monk Kidd (The Secret Life of Bees)

Good book Kirst. It's been like 10 years since I read it, but it's been one of my fave's ever since. I tried another of Sue Monk Kidd's book later on..."The Mermaid Chair" and it was VERY racy. I wouldn't recommend it.
Like I told you the other night, I fell asleep in the movie. But, I fall asleep in LOTS of movies. :)
I actually liked the movie (and Brady did too, but he didn't read the book), but it had been years since I read the book, so maybe I just liked it because I didn't remember it.
I loved this book too! If you find the movie let me know!
Hmm, I hated this book! And I really can't remember why...I read it on various trains in Europe and remember thinking "what a waste of time". Is that a wrong way to remember it? Perhaps I should read it again to give it a second chance...:)
i borrowed this from paul on cd :) i'll have to give it a listen!
{books on cd are pretty much all i have time for these days. i listen while i'm running errands. i miss reading.}
I liked the movie a lot! Watch it, it's got some great talent in it :)

I love catching up on all your posts! I really liked this book and want to see the movie as well. If I come across it I'll let you know.
